Accepted file types:
- WAV, Broadcast WAV, SDII, AIFF
- 44.1k, 48k sample rates
- 16 or 24 bit
- mono, dual mono, or stereo interleaved files
File delivery methods:
- We have an ftp site where you can upload files, or you can use mac.com or You Send It (this can take a LONG time, depending on the number of songs you have).
- You can ship a hard copy DVD (preferred method).
Guidelines
(Please follow these - the more time we have to spend sorting out your files, the less time we can devote to your mix):
- Consolidate or bounce all tracks as contiguous files.
- Each track should have the same left-hand starting point.
- Each track should be labeled as to what it is (i.e., voc double, chorus guitar 1, etc.).
- Please don't send a ProTools session with automation and plug ins - make sure any mutes or un-mutes are part of the audio file. If you have any effects that you want to use, bounce or merge them to a processed audio track.
- Send ONLY the tracks you want me to use in your mix.
- Include a rough mix file.
- If sending a DVD, make folders for each song and include all pertinent audio files and a .txt file with tempo and mix ideas. Include any reference tracks from other CDs that you "like the sound of".
- Good communication is the key to us getting a mix you are happy with. Please don't hesitate to call or email with any questions, concerns or ideas you have concerning your mixes.
